Wax anyone?

Scented candles draws women like flies. However, what amazes me is the number of men that have a wax habit-seems they like having their "space" smell pleasant. It could be that it covers the smell of stinky socks or unwashed bodies, but what the heck? I'll gladly sell to anyone.

Spring is here almost here and festivals will be abundant. I think that renting a vendor booth may be a good way to see if my mini-business of candles will sell well. Today I'll pick a local festival, one in which draws a crowd. Country folks love handmade goods, the city folks just want cheap, so I'll stick to the local yokels.

My vision is forming....

Taking the bull by the horns

As another resume goes out to yet another company, I ponder how to stay afloat. I started pouring candles again, more for the pleasure of the scent than the thought of going retail. However, I've developed a following. Thoughts of an e-commerce website are careening around my brain, but will it be worth it?

My horses are still my touchstone, but in order to enjoy them, it's time to get down to work. Does e-commerce work? Will candles sell enough to live on?
